The results are in ...

And it's a boy. Big Daddy and Shelby were correct. They have both been saying for weeks that we'd be adding a boy to our family and it looks as if that's the case.

Here's the money shot (above). At first, it didn't look like he was going to cooperate. But he did a little flipping and there was his manhood in all its glory.

Shelby showed all her little friends at school the pictures. She said, "Look at my baby. It's a boy." Then she asked me what his name was ... umm, good question Shelby. We very well might not know this until the last minute, as boy names are a point of contention at our house. For now, he's just baby boy. If you have any suggestions for names, send them my way. We want something unique but not crazy (no, Zuma is not an option).

Congratulations! Little boys are WONDERFUL-I was worried about having a little boy-we have so many girls in my family, and I wasn't sure if I would know what to do with a boy, but I'm so in love with Elliot-I would take 5 more just like him! Love, Emily

PS How about Carson? I always liked that name, but now that we live in Carson City, we definitely won't be able to use it in the future!

I have to admit, I'm scared to have a boy. I'm used to Shelby and having a girl. But it will be nice to have one of each ... and be DONE!!!

I had asked Mike about Carson a few weeks back, he said NO. I bought a name book today and we'll begin the battle!

That is so awesome! I am so happy for your family. The pressure of picking a name is tough. I was surprised how much more opinionated Greg was this time with picking a name for our boy. I gave in to Greg and we are going to name our little boy Chad. He will definitely be the only child in his class with the name Chad because it is like 600 in popularity now. Apparently it is a 1970s name. However, if our Chad meets your Archie they can talk about how no one else has their names. :-) You’re going to be a great boy Mom.

I have three girls and a boy would be a nice change of pace.

My vote: Xavier! Of course Eric is always in fashion!
